Event Day Details!
* 2024 5K course. We hope to have the same course we had in 2023 but may need to change due to other events at the Fairgrounds that day. We will update you closer to the event.
* The entire event will be in the concourse area (by the grandstand), the rock and surrounding streets inside the fairgrounds – All attendees should enter through Gate 2 (tentative gate number, waiting for final gate),
* Families play Resource Fair Bingo and visit all the sponsors and vendors and every kid/parent who turns in a completed bingo will receive a fidget gift bag.
* Walkers please wait until after 9am to Register and/or Pick up Event Bags.
* No Pre-event bag pick-up option this year.
* Bring cash for FOOD Concessions, Dunk Tank, motivational bracelets, and more! Other vendors will be selling sensory items as well.
* Donate or Buy YOUR Choice! Raffle Tickets at the event.
Mahoning Valley Warrior 2024 is hosted by the Autism Society of Mahoning Valley to raise funds for its programs and services, including its support helpdesk.
We believe that there are two types of WARRIORS:
1. Athletes who strive to better themselves like ancient warriors, and2. Parents of those with autism fight like warriors to achieve better care, education and opportunities for their children.
This event consists of opportunities to prove your athletic prowess AND it is also an opportunity for the autism community to come together for a morning of fun, education and community support. While the athletes are competing, we play host to the annual Autism Family Support Walk, fun family activities and the region’s largest Special Needs Resource Fair.
Who should attend autism warrior?• Super athletes who want the title of MV WARRIOR 2024;• 5K Runners & Walkers;• Strength-driven athletes;• Groups of athletes, coworkers, friends or individuals who want to win the People-Powered Tractor Pull;• Families affected by autism and their service providers to share information; and• Anyone who wants to help autism families and wants to show their support.

Are you Tough Enough! Challenge yourself by being in 4 Events and Compete to be the Mahoning Valley Warrior! One Male and One Female will be selected.
Top Male and Top Female will each win a $250 Cash Prize and a Custom Warrior Championship Belt. Other prizes may be available.
Warrior Competition will be judged on a point system to give all athletes an equal chance at winning. So, if you’re a fast runner and fast at the Farmers Carry, but not as fast at the Sandbag/Sled and People-Powered Tractor Pull you’ll get points there versus being stronger in the other two events.
*** Ohio’s Strongest Event also being held during Mahoning Valley Warrior. Separate competition but all proceeds will benefit the Autism Society of Mahoning Valley too. $75 registration. Go to HERE to register!
Warrior Competition Schedule:
3rd and 4th Events may run until closer to noon, will depend on number of participants.• 1st Event – 9am – 5K Run• 2nd Event – 11-11:15am – Individual People-Powered Tractor Pull– You will be pulling by yourself an 1,800 pound Ford 1300 Tractor on a slightly elevated, paved course of 100 feet.• 3rd Event – 11:15-11:30am – Strongman Event #1– Sandbag Carry and Sled Drag
Details: Sandbag Carry and Sled Drag – Carry sandbag 50ft then drag the sled back 50ft. Score is the amount of time that it takes to complete the event. • 4th Event – 11:15-11:30am – Strongman Event #2 – Farmer Carry

Registration Cost is $85 and includes event performance shirt if registered by May 12, 2024 at midnight.
People-Powered Tractor Pull – starts at 11am (expected to end by 11:30am or Noon, will be determined by number of teams that register)
$100 per team (includes 8 event shirts)

In this competition, teams of eight (8) people will pull a full-size farm tractor (in neutral with its engine off) over a distance of 100 feet on a level, paved course. Teams can consist of area schools, businesses, and civic organizations. The team with the lowest elapsed time wins bragging rights and, for each winning team member an Autism Warrior medal!

Volunteers that sign up before 5/12/2024 at midnight will receive a Volunteer shirt while they last.
Please email us at info@autismmv.org. Volunteers are expected to volunteer for entire shift unless other arrangements have been made. It takes many great volunteers to have this event organized well for a successful event.
The Mahoning Valley chapter of the Autism Society of America was founded by local families in 1989 to support families in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. Its mission is: We create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community with the resources needed to live fully.
