Mahoning Valley Warrior 2021 is hosted by the Autism Society of Mahoning Valley to raise funds for its programs and services.

We believe that there are two types of WARRIORS:

  1. Athletes who strive to better themselves like ancient warriors, and
  2. Parents of those with autism fight like warriors to achieve better care, education and opportunities for their children.

This event consists of opportunities to prove your athletic prowess AND it is also the opportunity for the autism community to come together for a morning of fun, education and community support. While the athletes are competing, we play host to the annual Autism Family Support Walk, fun family activities and the region’s largest Special Needs Resource Fair.

Who should attend autism warrior?

  • Super athletes who want the title of MV WARRIOR 2021;
  • 5K Runners & Walkers;
  • Strength-driven athletes;
  • Groups of athletes, coworkers, friends or individuals who want to win the People-Powered Tractor Pull;
  • Families affected by autism and their service providers to share information; and
  • Anyone who cares about autism families and wants to show their support.

The Mahoning Valley chapter of the Autism Society of America was founded by local families in 1989 to support families in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for families living with an ASD diagnosis, and to bring about community change and opportunities for individuals working through life with this disability. We are dedicated to accomplishing this through information and referral, family support, advocacy, professional development, raising awareness and resource development.

From the newly diagnosed child to the school aged children to the severely disabled autistic adult. These are ALL Autism Society families, and THEY NEED OUR HELP!

Can YOU help us support your community, your friends, your neighbors, your loved ones? Start TODAY!

When you walk, run or donate, you become part of this dedicated, local effort to ADVOCATE, EDUCATE, SUPPORT and provide needed PROGRAMS that create a better quality of life for individuals with autism.
