We Walk because we have appreciated the Autism Society of Mahoning Valley being there for programs and services for our son and our family. We are excited for social opportunities that are provided for my teen and other teens and young adults in our community.

We are grateful for the Autism Society of Mahoning Valley! We have been attending events for over 5 years now, from Camp FRIEND to Monthly Community Outings to Special Santa to Parent Support Groups to Moms Night Out to Family Portraits. These are so important to me and my family.

The Autism Society of Mahoning Valley has been helping us from day one in our autism journey. From recommending school options to helping when we are having difficult times. We have attended many programs that we would not have been able to attend without their support due to sensory needs.

We Walk because we have two boys with moderate to severe autism who have enjoyed the social programs that they would not have been able to without the Autism Society of Mahoning Valley. As a mom, I have become friends with other moms raising children with autism and their support and friendship has meant everything to me.

WHY WE FIGHT LIKE WARRIORS

Founded in 1989, the Autism Society of the Mahoning Valley is the region's oldest grassroots autism organization and exists to improve the lives of all affected by autism from diagnosis thru old age. We serve the community through advocacy, education, information and referrals, support services, and community-building events in the tri-county region.
We believe every individual and family affected by autism should lead a quality life, and is accepted, supported, and treated with dignity and respect.

First call a parent makes when looking for help for their loved one.
Our National Helpline 800-3-AUTISM offers trained Information & Referral Specialists to provide resources to services and supports across the country. To speak to local I&R Specialist directly, call 330-333-9609 or email info@autismmv.org
